If you want round ice these do the job well!, 20 July 2016
    By

This works great for making spherical ice balls. They last longer in your drink than standard ice cubes which is great for hot days, and they don’t dilute your drink as much if you drink quickly.
The 1st time I tried these, I made a mess, water was leaking everywhere and I didn’t get those perfect spheres that I was after. There’s no instructions included when you receive the product, but on the Amazon product page there are step by step instructions. Once you know the trick of squeezing the top of each ice ball mould to snap the silcone in position, I found that I didn’t get any leakage. The only excess water came from me missing when pouring into the holes on top, but that’s just me needing a steadier hand. It makes no difference to the ice balls themselves, you’ve just got a layer of ice sitting on top of the silicone.
Being made of silicone instead of plastic make it so much easier to get the ice out, instead of rigid plastic moulds. It appears to be made out of a high grade silicone as there’s no nasty flavours in the ice. Infact by being almost completely encased in silicone it protects from some of the unwanted flavours that may be lurking in your freezer, which I find can happen with the regular trays.
I received this product at a discounted price for testing purposes, and in conclusion if you want round instead of square ice these do the job relly well. Do have a look at the instructions on the Amazon listing though and in no time you’ll be making them like a pro (last night my wife commented that they were like giant marbles).

    Very cool – literally., 8 Jan. 2016

I was kindly offered a free review sample of this to try out.

As you may have seen from my video, on my first try, I overfilled them and the resulting ice balls, though interesting, are not exactly as intended. I have a new batch in the freezer now where I have followed the incstructions to the letter, not using distilled water, though, but boiled water, which will also help add clarity to the ice.

Despite my slightly failed first effort, I have no hesitation in recommending this if you, like me, think that the idea of a more or less perfectly shaped ice ball in you drink is cool – literally. It’s a visually stunning thing that can enhance the aesthetic of many a drink, and once my new batch turns out as I want it, I may start experimenting with adding colouring too for more interesting effects.

We actually use a lot of ice in the house, but we keep buying it when we just as easily could have made our own.

As these are silicone rubber, they should be able to withstand heat as well as cold, and of course one could use them for other things than just for ice. I can imagine some uses in baking, for instance, when this might come in handy too. or making jelly. The possibilities are only limited by your own imagination and – in the case of my first batch – by the physics of water expanding when it freezes.

With a 100% money back guarantee you cannot go wrong with these, and I can recommend them highly.

This ice ball maker mold from cojoie is fantastic it’s made from high quality food grade silicone the package contents are one ice ball maker and a user guide.
The ice ball maker comes in two mold sections the bottom and top mold these are extremely easy to use close the two molds together taking cation you line both together correctly.
Fill the mold through the top injection holes fill each hole with 50 ml of water then place into the freezer for five hours or more longer the better when they are done they look great in the glass with your desired drink.
Overall I am extremely impressed with this and I would highly recommend it.
Please note I received this in exchange for a honest review and this has not biased my opinion in any way.
